2022年4月5日，3时20分，我们迎来清明。作为春季的第五个节气，二十四节气中只有清明既是节气又是节日。

We embrace the Qing Ming Festival at three twenty this morning. As the fifth solar term of spring, the Chinese traditional festival enjoys identities of both a solar term and a festival.

清明时节雨纷纷，路上行人欲断魂。

借问酒家何处有？牧童遥指杏花村。

The Qing Ming Festival

A drizzling rain falls like tears on the Mourning Day；

The mourner's heart is going to break on his way．

Where can a wine shop be found to drown his sad hours?

A cowherd points to a cot 'mid apricot flowers．

桃花初绽，杨柳泛青。和风微拂，莺飞草长, 花团锦簇，风轻雨润。万物生长此时，皆清净明洁。一派气清景明的春日气象。“清明”由此得名。

The peach blossoms bloom and the willows take on green. With mild breeze, flying warblers, sprouting grass, flower clusters and mild rain. Everything grows by this time in a clean and clear aura.What a serene spring scene!Hence the name of ”Qing Ming”.

The Qing Ming Festival sets in with pear blossoms swaying in the wind. Visitors mostly go out for a stroll into suburbs to admire spring.

阳春四月，出游踏青。人们忍不住走到户外、田野、山边感受旖旎春光，拥抱明媚春天。荡秋千、放风筝，都是清明时节的民间习俗。人们把风筝放上天后剪断牵线，期盼除病消灾，带来好运。

Are common folk customs Chinese people follow. In anticipation of eliminating diseases and disasters while bringing in fortune.By flying kites high and then cutting the kite strings.

一年一清明，一岁一追思。清明也是一个肃穆的日子。中国人要祭奠祖先、缅怀先烈，充满慎终追远的感伤情怀。

The Qing Ming Festival is a solemn occasion as well. To honor the sacrifice of our ancestors and martyrs. Worshipping ancestors and cherishing the memory of martyrs are the moments brimming with sentimental feelings to show people’s filial respect to predecessors.

烟雨十里春深 念念不忘故人。清明节是一个契机，让我们重新思考生死，体味现实人生的可贵。清明节是一种寄托，流淌着我们对过去的思念，承载着对未来的期待。

The Qing Ming Festival is an opportunity for us to rethink life and death. And to comprehend the valuable possibilities of realistic life. The occasion symbolizes a kind of emotional sustenance which bears our memories of the past and expectations towards the future.
